i probably didnt do much today except wash my shoes from ywc-hahaha. the very ones used during the gua kandu expedition. the shoes were used, muddied, packed into a plastic bag and abandoned on the front porch for days, forgotten. finally i remembered them since im going to another camp this saturday(youth camp) and would need those poor shoes again. i washed and scrubbed and amazed myself at the effort i was able to apply onto those though muddy stains. they were cleaned! however, i deserted my shoes again and it rained. they got soaked. i brought them in, and placed them close to the entrance so that they feel better but not to deep into the warmth of the house because i didnt want them to think i cared that much.
about an hour later, ken, my brother yelled slugs!! the slugs had come in to seek shelter from the rain(i think) but they still wanted a moist surrounding that my shoes provided without any trouble, except the journey into my left shoe one poor, slow, overweight slug had to endure. man, it was fat. i used a thick wad of tissue to slowly pry of the slug away from the walls of my shoe, held it in the tissue and tossed it outside, at the same time not letting the wad of tissue get tossed away along wih the slug(which required skill i may add). while watching the darkness of the night swallow up the slug i heard a loud "piak"... and i know the slug had landed. my shoes were sad to lose their one true companion who chose to stay with them despite the smell and worn-out look they have. the fate of the slug unknown, i switched of the lights with an evil grin and left my shoes to drown in their misery of losing their one true friend who ever took the initaitive to get close to them, much less to get into them, the slug.
